After 10 years in business, Alba Distribution is closing down at the end of March.

Alba started in 2016 in the basement of our house. It wasn’t much to begin with, just a small setup and a belief that there was room in Canada for well-made, performance-focused products, backed by proper support.

In 2021, we moved to Squamish to a dedicated workshop/warehouse just before the covid boom hit and things got a lot busier.

Formula was our first brand and the original reason for starting Alba. We've always loved working with Formula, they are a great team of people who are passionate about making products that excel, are reliable and are a bit different. 

Early on, we also started working with EXT, at a time when very few people here had even heard of them. A big part of our role was helping get things set up properly in Canada; warranty processes, documentation, and building out a service network so the product was actually supported the way it should be.

We later took on Ochain and became their first distributor. Fabrizio had the idea for this product after seeing Neko Mulally's broken chain run at the Hafjell world cup in 2014, where Ben was wrenching on the team (thankfully not for Neko at this time!) We believed in the product from day one and enjoyed our time working with the team in Italy. 

Most of the last decade has been spent helping riders get more out of their bikes, whether that was through suspension setup, tuning, or just supplying parts that genuinely made a difference on the trail.

This hasn’t been an easy decision. The past few years haven’t been straightforward, but more than anything it feels like the right time to step away and head in a different direction.

We’d like to say thanks to everyone who supported Alba over the years; customers, dealers, and suppliers.
